Your safety is our highest priority. This doesn’t end with up-to-date, serviced vehicles, so all of our cars are equipped with a reflective safety vest, warning triangle, and a first aid kit.

Can I bring my own baby/child seat to use in the car?

Sure! You can always bring your own baby/child seat on your trip. Just make sure that you fit it as per the manufacturer's instructions. Safety is our priority!

How do I rent cars with car keys?

Accepted Answer

Most of our cars come with physical car keys. Here's how to use them:

1. Find a Car: Use the app to locate a car near you.

2. Reserve: Tap 'Reserve' to claim the car.

3. Start the Car: When you reach the car, tap 'Start' in the app.

4. Verify Your Identity: Use Face-ID or enter your 4-digit PIN.

5. Unlock: The car will unlock automatically.

6. Find the Key: The car key will be located in the glove compartment.

7. Return the Key: Once you reach your destination, place the key back into the holder in the glove compartment.

8. End Your Trip: Complete the process by ending the trip via the app.

How do I rent keyless cars?

Some of our car models are keyless, meaning you don't need a car key to unlock the car or start the engine. These cars use Start/Stop buttons instead.

Here's how it works:

1. Locate a car near you using the app.

2. Tap 'Reserve' and make it yours.

3. When you're at the car, tap 'Start' in the app.

4. Use Face-ID or enter your 4-digit PIN.

5. The car unlocks automatically.

6. To start the engine, press the Start/Stop button.

7. Arrived at your destination? End the trip via the app.

How far can I drive with an electric car?

Accepted Answer

The range of a fully charged electric smart can go up to 100 km.
The range of a fully charged BMW i3 can go up to 200 km.

The range will be displayed in the app and in the car. Please bear in mind that there may be no charging stations outside the Home Area!

Ending your trip with less than 10% battery may incur a fee.

Are Free2move cars insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All Free2move cars are covered by third-party liability insurance and your deductible is always automatically reduced to a specific amount in case of an accident. This agreement is waived, however, in cases of gross negligence.

Plus Coverage is also available on all rates, reducing your deductible to just 250€ whilst adding glass and tyre damage cover plus Roadside Assistance in the Home Area. Plus Coverage starts from 0,99 €.
