What is a credit top-up and why should I use it?

A credit top-up gives you the flexibility to add credit to your account, ensuring you have funds available for smooth, worry-free rentals. It's also a great way for our Free2move Rewards members to enjoy additional discounts of up to 15% credit packages.

You can use credits to pay for all car-sharing rentals made by your default personal payment profile. They will automatically be applied to cover your car-sharing rentals, including drop-off fees, long-haul fees, and other rental-related costs.

How can I top-up my Free2move account?

Simply follow these steps: Open the app ▶ Menu ▶ Payment ▶ Top up & save money ▶ Choose your top-up amount

The credit will be added immediately after your transaction is completed, and you can start driving right away.

How long is my purchased credit valid?

Your credit is valid for 3 years from the day of purchase. After 3 years, the credit is no longer valid for use or refund. You can refund any unused purchased credit before it expires.

Is there a limit to my top-up amount?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there is a limit. Your account balance can hold a maximum of €500 in credit top-up at any time. If you try to top-up more credit beyond this amount, the transaction will be declined.

Where can I use the credit from my top-up balance?

Accepted Answer

Your credit can only be used in the country for which it was bought. For example, if you purchase a credit top-up package of 50€ in any of our German locations, it can only be used within Germany.

What if I want to buy credit to top up my business payment profile?

That's not possible at the moment. Credit can only be applied to the personal payment profile.

Can I top up my credit during a rental?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but you will only be able to apply it on your next rental. Your new credit balance will not affect the invoice of your current active rental.
